New to the 44th Annual Carnaval, held over Memorial Day weekend in San Francisco, was the city’s first-ever licensed cannabis garden, the Jardin de Hierba Buena, presented by Gift of Doja and Nouera. This historic event marks the first cannabis garden at a street fair in the state of California, featuring three onsite pop-up dispensaries and a consumption lounge in the city's Mission District.

The Meadow events team worked with retail partners Bay Care Delivery and Purple Star MD to compliantly process event sales of lab tested craft and legacy products, with distribution services provided by Equity Trade Inc.
"Thank you everyone at Meadow for the awesome support and smooth transactions! Y'all killed it," says D.J.M. of Purple Star.
“El Jardin de Hierba Buena was a beautiful addition to Carnaval SF’s experience," says event organizer Nina Parks. "We heard volunteers & staff from Carnaval say it felt like a VIP experience. It was an honor to organize this event and to show SF what a gift it is to work with the cannabis industry. This was a successful step forward for normalizing social consumption.”
This was a true community-led event, women organized and run, with 70+% of the vendors owned by women, designed to uplift the voices of Brown, Black and marginalized communities within the California cannabis industry.
