Meadow powered cannabis retail software for the Hippie Hill 420 licensed cannabis event with Sounds Bazaar

Meadow was honored to help execute the historic first year of legal, compliant cannabis sales at 4/20 Hippie Hill in San Francisco Golden Gate Park. After a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19, Hippie Hill returned as the biggest free cannabis event in the Bay Area to celebrate the High Holiday on April 20, 2022. As part of the onsite Farmer's Market, Meadow powered sales in the park for pop-up dispensaries The Green Door and Bay Care Delivery.

"Once again nothing but an A+ performance from everybody on the Meadow team involved in the Hippie Hill Retail Event on April 20, 2022," said Ajaye, Owner at Bay Care Delivery. " I can go on and on about how much I love the intelligence, hustle, drive, patience, and willingness to see your partners succeed. Your team continues to go above and beyond to ensure nothing but our success, for that, I am forever grateful."

"It's a huge accomplishment that required a superhero level of ability, planning, and execution from the entire spectrum of stakeholders," says David Hua, founder and CEO of Meadow in this SFist recap. "Overall, we saw an incredible display of how legal sales can - and should - run at events of this scale. Transactions ran smoothly all day, with steady streams of customers and short wait times in line. No curveballs. No last-minute fire drills. Retailers followed state, local, park, and event regulations to ensure compliance throughout the event, from load-in to load-out. Overall sales were very strong.”

Meadow worked with event organizers, the Office of Cannabis and the Department of Cannabis Control to ensure a compliant event with regulated and tested cannabis products.

“This year marks an important moment in the history of 420 at Hippie Hill,” Nikesh Patel, director of the San Francisco Office of Cannabis told KRON news. Patel said, “For the first time, regulated cannabis will be available for sale and consumption at this year’s event. This novel opportunity showcases the strength of San Francisco’s vibrant cannabis community and brings new requirements to help create a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience for everyone who attends.”
