The Dabbies Awards, presented by The Hood Incubator, are designed to recognize companies in the cannabis industry who have made sustained effort to support and champion social equity.
These industry awards will be given out onstage at Camp Navarro on Friday, October 1, 2021, during the Meadowlands Leadership Summit.
In 2019, The Hood Incubator presented the original Dabbies Award to advertising veteran, Daniel Stein, Founder of Evolution Bureau and CEO of Essential Good. From 2016-2019, Stein provided a free community space in Oakland for women, veterans, seniors and equity groups to gather.
The 2021 version of The Dabbies Awards have expanded to multiple categories with the aim of celebrating the social impact and advocacy work of the wider cannabis industry. The shortlist is created with data from The Accountability List from Cannaclusive and the cannabis industry is invited to submit their vote to help choose the winners in each category.
